POST 5 ACADEMIC CHANGES IN 2023

Hello, dear readers of this blog!

This time, we're going to touch on a very sensitive topic. We're going to talk about the degree I'm studying, specifically biochemistry, its curriculum, the teaching methods, as well as the facilities and the use of technology at the faculty.

First and foremost, I must admit that I'm quite satisfied with the methodology employed at the faculty. Having theoretical classes, followed by exercises in seminars, and finally, practical work in laboratories seems very relevant to me. This educational approach goes well with scientific disciplines where understanding the subject matter and how knowledge can be developed at various levels is more critical than just memorization. This approach greatly benefits students who aim to pursue careers in education or research, as is my case.

However, it's not all positive. While we go through various methods of retaining knowledge, it's important to highlight the inadequacy of the facilities and student recreational areas. Despite being a faculty that promotes being on the cutting edge of knowledge, we lack motivation from our surroundings. The buildings are old, the safety measures in laboratories are inadequate, and the overall aesthetic environment of the faculty is not appealing. Study spaces are also uncomfortable, poorly lit, and not well-optimized. These factors often make it challenging to stay motivated.

Sadly, the workload often doesn't leave enough time to balance studying with hobbies or recreational activities for relaxation.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this post, and it helps you form a better understanding of the state of sciences in our country

POST 4 TIME TRAVEL TO THE PAST OR FUTURE

Hello everyone, we're already at blog number four!

This time, I wanted to talk about a very controversial and entertaining topic, specifically, time travel and my opinions on various aspects of it. For example:

Would you prefer to go to the past or the future?

It's a very broad question, to be honest, but it leads to some interesting answers. Truth be told, I'd prefer to go to the future. Currently, as a society, we don't have much insight into what the future holds for us, so it probably won't be the utopian future with flying cars like in cartoons such as The Jetsons. In fact, it's quite likely to be more post-apocalyptic and in ruins. I know my comment might sound somewhat pessimistic, but the reality is that the world isn't in great shape right now, and I'm very curious about the direction humanity will take to address the current problems. Besides, I'm interested in how new technologies are used and applied to bring about change in the lives of people around the world. If I could choose a specific year, I'd say maybe the year 2200, so I wouldn't be too out of touch. If it were possible, I would continuously travel to the future to keep up with knowledge and understand what's happening in different times. I'm not sure if I'd like to stay permanently; it's not that I'm very attached to my current time, but the truth is, I don't know if I'd be better off in another time. It really depends on many factors that I wouldn't be able to contemplate unless I were in that situation, so I'd stay in the time where I feel most comfortable and where I can live forever. I believe that's the biggest reason that would motivate me to stay in a specific moment.

POST 3 MY DREAM JOB

Hello, everyone! I greet you all.

Today, I wanted to talk to you about my dream job. Honestly, I don't have a specific dream job in the strictest sense, but I do have some strong preferences, especially in the field of teaching. I would very much like to become a lecturer at a university. Not so much for the research aspect that academia entails, but because I really enjoy explaining specific things about a subject I feel confident in mastering. Besides, I love the interaction that occurs when there are people interested in a particular subject. So, I can envision myself in the future teaching in a classroom.

I would also like to have the opportunity to travel to gain expertise in various areas within my chosen field, to expand my knowledge and provide my students with better tools. Of course, this would need to be accompanied by a salary that allows for personal development and the pursuit of recreational activities that I consider important for my life.

Fortunately, I am currently studying a major that leads me towards this possibility and provides me with the foundational knowledge I need to pursue my future projects. However, it's worth mentioning that in the area I want to work, which is teaching, it will be necessary to continue my studies beyond my undergraduate degree. This might involve taking various postgraduate courses, possibly a doctorate, to gain knowledge in the field of neuroscience.

Well, that's a bit of what I have planned for the future. Thank you very much for reading my blog. See you in the next post. Goodbye.

POST 2 THE BEST HOLIDAYS

 Hello everyone!!!

This is the second blog post I'm uploading, and I wanted to tell you about some very special holidays I had, which in my opinion were the best.

On this occasion, I went with three of my best friends whom I've known since school: Matías, Patricio, and Vicente. The four of us went to a cabin by the sea that belongs to a relative of mine. We stayed there for a week, which was very beneficial because there was no signal of any kind in that place, and it wasn't crowded either. So, we were able to enjoy a week of complete tranquility.

During that week, we took turns doing household chores and cooking. We also had barbecues and went to the beach on some days. Fortunately, the house is near a spot among the rocks where one can swim without any problems. We had a lot of fun, and this experience helped us strengthen our friendship and face situations that we wouldn't have even imagined otherwise. After that, we became even closer friends, and I think that's why I consider these to be the best holidays I've ever had.

Post 1 A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

Hello mates! How are you all?

In today's post, I will talk about a place that I would love to visit in the future, due to its cultural richness and historical significance, as well as its diverse culture influenced by various factors and its vast geographical diversity.

The country I would like to visit is Russia. There are several reasons why I want to go to this country. The primary reason is its culture and historical significance in various global processes, as it has been a significant contributor to philosophical and developmental ideas. Additionally, I have received recommendations from others who have been there, providing me with different perspectives on the place and what a trip to explore and discover different locations would entail.

I can't say that my intention is to live there, as I have never had the opportunity to visit, but it seems like a possibility worth considering, especially depending on how the experience goes if I ever undertake a tourist trip there.

Another reason that drives me to explore this place is the presence of a strong and thriving chemical industry, making it an international reference in this field. Therefore, going there could be both an academic and personal development opportunity in the field I am passionate about and currently studying in Chile. I also wouldn't rule out the possibility of pursuing an academic and research career in this country, as I see it as a place with many opportunities.

Thank you for reading. I hope you're all doing great!
