POST 5 ACADEMIC CHANGES IN 2023

Hello, dear readers of this blog!

This time, we're going to touch on a very sensitive topic. We're going to talk about the degree I'm studying, specifically biochemistry, its curriculum, the teaching methods, as well as the facilities and the use of technology at the faculty.

First and foremost, I must admit that I'm quite satisfied with the methodology employed at the faculty. Having theoretical classes, followed by exercises in seminars, and finally, practical work in laboratories seems very relevant to me. This educational approach goes well with scientific disciplines where understanding the subject matter and how knowledge can be developed at various levels is more critical than just memorization. This approach greatly benefits students who aim to pursue careers in education or research, as is my case.

However, it's not all positive. While we go through various methods of retaining knowledge, it's important to highlight the inadequacy of the facilities and student recreational areas. Despite being a faculty that promotes being on the cutting edge of knowledge, we lack motivation from our surroundings. The buildings are old, the safety measures in laboratories are inadequate, and the overall aesthetic environment of the faculty is not appealing. Study spaces are also uncomfortable, poorly lit, and not well-optimized. These factors often make it challenging to stay motivated.

Sadly, the workload often doesn't leave enough time to balance studying with hobbies or recreational activities for relaxation.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this post, and it helps you form a better understanding of the state of sciences in our country

  1. It is true, the study places aren`t the best and they should improve that and do more, and I still like the seminars, since they usually serve a lot to better understand the subject.

  2. I completely agree with the idea that some buildings and study places could be improved to keep students motivated!

  3. The infrastructure is very poor, I think that in addition to improve study places they should build a larger dining place.
